ON MARS COMPLETE TP

Welcome to a future, where the true natures of mankind prove to be inescapable no matter how far you travel in this explosive sci-fi prison drama by brilliant creators Sylvain Runberg (Warship Jolly Roger) and Grun (Space Relic Hunters). Who is really in control? And can anyone truly claim a planet on the verge of forced evolution? In 2132, life on Earth has reached the limits of sustainability. Colonizing Mars has become our only option, and the construction of such a significant enterprise has required massive resources and manpower. The most cost-efficient solution to this requirement is conscripted labor provided by convicted felons-early access to humanity's future homeworld, but in exchange for the back-breaking and perilous work of constructing the damn thing. Officer Jasmine Stenford is sent to Mars and sentenced to conscripted labor for a wrongful death committed on her watch. With little defense against the corruption on Earth, she has no idea what sort of nightmare awaits her on the red planet . . .This complete edition features the complete story, as well as a 48-page production sketchbook by artist Grun drafted as a prisoner diary. Born in 1971, Sylvain Ruberg grew up reading Franco-Belgian and American comics while watching the first wave of Japanese anime, which fed both his love of the medium and engaging stories that resonate on a global scale. He now splits his time between France and Sweden. Since launching his career in 2004, Sylvain has authored 160 graphic novels, which have been translated into 26 languages and sold over 3 million copies worldwide. This includes multiple projects like the long-running ORBITAL series, WONDER WOMAN & HARLEY QUINN, SUPERMAN, WARSHIP JOLLY ROGER, Edmond Hamilton, and Toei Animation's CAPTAIN FUTURE, Stieg Larson's THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO, CONAN, WATCH DOGS: LEGION, UNDER YORK, KONUNGAR, and ZAROFF. ON MARS was Sylvain's first work with Grun, but they have since collaborated on other projects, including the recent SPACE RELIC HUNTERS. Besides graphic novels, Sylvain has ventured into the television industry, creating five TV series. He's currently working on the narrative design of several video games, including the "WARSHIP JOLLY ROGER" adaptation by Proxima Studios. He's also the co-founder of Dark Riviera, an international 360° IP boutique based in Stockholm.Born Ludovic Dubois in France in 1971, Grun was fascinated by American comic books since childhood. When he discovered the works of Moebius, however, he decided to pursue his passion and become a full-time illustrator. He graduated with honors from the Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux and began designing nature magazines while also experimenting with short comic strips. He soon joined the video game company Kalisto as a concept artist and designer, but as creatively fulfilling as these pursuits were, they still weren't comics. He soon met comic writer Eric Corbeyran (No Future), with whom he would co-create his first full comic series, THE OPAL CONSPIRACY, in 2005. METRONOM and other projects followed before meeting Sylvain Runberg and beginning work on ON MARS. These projects have established him as one of the most respected artists in the 9th Art (comics).
